MOLLISON SPELLING BEE - March 31, 2023 The BUZZ is DEFINITELY going around Mollison! Mollison will be hosting its school-wide Spelling Bee on Friday, March 31st. Mollison Scholars are welcome to begin practicing from the provided word lists below. Students will first compete in their classroom, with one student from each Homeroom advancing on to the school-wide Spelling Bee. Please encourage your Scholars to practice both in and outside of school.

Black History Kick-Off - Wednesday, February 1, 2023 The Black Scholar's Broadcasting Station: WMES Opens Black History Month with Ramonski Love, a Historical African- American Living Legend of Chicago. On Thursday, Mollison will host The Historical African-American Living Legend Of Chicago Event, where Ramonski Love will be honored for his impact in Chicago for service of humanity - specifically the Bronzeville Community. He uses the platform of airwaves to bring awareness to the Chicagoland Community and globally to a broad spectrum of social justice and humanitarian issues. All of Mollison's families are invited to attend this event. The event will begin at 11 am in Mollison's gymnatorium. We are requesting that all students dress in all black. Also, Mollison's Djembe Orchestra will perform under the direction of Mr. John Chapman.

Annual Title I and PAC Organizational Meetings - Tue, Nov 1 @ 5:30 pm Please join us for the Annual Title I and PAC Organizational meetings. Both will be held this Wednesday, October 26, at 5 pm via Zoom. During the Annual Title I Meeting, I will discuss the state of the school and Title I budget allocations. During PAC Organizational Meeting, we will vote on our PAC leadership and discuss this year's PAC budget.
Hispanic Heritage Month Festival Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities. The event, which spans from September 15 to October 15, commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.Mollison’s Hispanic Heritage Month Festival will take place on Wednesday October 12, 2022 from 5 pm to 6:30pm. The event will consist of cultural foods and various fun and educational activities for the families.
